Pastor Dan and Paula Lumadue
Pastor Dan was born in Lakewood, Ohio and grew up in Avon Lake, Ohio. He committed his life to Christ when he was 5 years old. At age 16 he was called into ministry as his pastor, a former missionary himself, shared about the call to serve the Lord. He is a graduate of North Central University (BA Pastoral Studies/Bible) and Southeastern University (MA in Ministerial Leadership) and is an Ordained minister with over 32 years of credentialed ministry in the Assemblies of God. Paula is a Licensed minister with the Assemblies of God, and they serve as fully appointed missionaries with the Assemblies of God.
Paula was born in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania and was raised as a Missionary Kid from the time she went to Africa with her family when she was 2 years old. They would later move to the Netherlands, where her family served as missionaries for eight years in Holland from the time Paula was in elementary school through 10th grade. She would later enter the travel industry, but would then respond to the call of God as the opportunity arose to serve in Okinawa, Japan.
Dan and Paula served as Assemblies of God World Missionaries from 1991-2002 in Okinawa, Japan. They first served in the areas of youth and worship, and would then serve as Lead Pastor of Neighborhood Church in Okinawa. Though they had met at North Central University, it was here in Japan that they were married. It was also where their daughter Danielle and son Christian were born. The Lord called them to return to the US, where they have pastored a church in Ohio and another in Florida, and where Dan completed his Master of Arts in Ministerial Leadership at Southeastern University.
Paula’s family has a wonderful heritage of missions in multiple regions around the world. Her parents, grandparents, and a great-great aunt have all been missionaries at one time or another in Japan! As their daughter Danielle is also serving here with them, she is the fifth generation in their family to serve in ministry in Japan!
